History of the Church

about

Netley Christian Fellowship (Evangelical Church) formed in January 1993, with just over 40 members, having commenced meeting in July 1992. In the early years we received help from Carey Baptist Church in Reading along with other local ministers.

In 1995 we called our first pastor, John Scott who left in 2000 to take up ministry in Chelmsford.

Our second pastor, Andy Ball, was called in 2002. Andy served the church, with his wife Tatyana, until 2007.

Our current pastor is Paul Oliver, who was called in 2010. He had previously been a pastor at The Old Baptist Chapel in Bradford-on-Avon.

Membership has grown over the years to nearly 70 members with a good spread of ages. There are still a fair number of the founding members still in the church. However a good number have joined over the years.
